What is glamping, anyway?
Glamping is the ultimate mash-up of outdoor adventure and upscale hospitality. Imagine experiencing the outdoors without having to set up a tent or go without the creature comforts of home. You can think of it as upgraded recreation, focused on the comforts travelers expect in a hotel.
Glampers sleep in beautiful locations – just not in ordinary hotel rooms. At glamping resorts, guests can experience luxury glamping tents, yurts, teepees, travel trailers, cabins, treehouses and fully appointed Airstream trailers.
Glamping IS:
- Enjoying your favorite activities all day
- Sleeping in luxury and comfort at night
- Having the hard work handled for you
- Bathing in a spa-like shower
- Sharing your trip photos on Instagram with free Wi-Fi in your private suite
Glamping IS NOT:
- Lugging around tons of camping gear
- Setting up camp in the dark
- Trying to start a campfire in the rain
Glamping destinations around the world offer high-end experiences focused on adventure, nature, history, and more. Just because you want to sleep under the stars or enjoy the beach doesn’t mean you have to give up luxury bedding and spa-like bath amenities.

Near Guerneville & Russian River, California
AutoCamp Russian River is only 30 minutes from the Pacific Ocean coastline of the Sonoma Coast. Seventeen miles of beaches separated by rocky outcrops and bluffs provide opportunities for shell hunting, whale-watching, sunbathing, and picnicking. Goat Rock Beach is also home to a colony of harbor seals, and the Sonoma Coast State Beach has many natural stone arches and secluded coves perfect for seaside activities. Bring a blanket and watch the sun set across the Pacific.
Our Russian River Airstream resort is close to the stunning Armstrong Redwood State Park. Take a leisurely float along the lazy Russian River and watch the wildlife or take a photo safari along the miles of nature trails. Visit the nearby town of Guerneville, with its rustic, renovated, and retro store fronts for some eclectic shopping. The slow, easy pace of life here makes it easy to get lost in relaxation.
No glamping trip to AutoCamp Russian River would be complete without a wine tasting tour in your private limo. The Wine Road through Northern Sonoma County takes you through sensational rolling hills and offers exquisite tasting experiences. Meet some of California’s best winemakers along this road of discovery. The “wine road” is a quest for treasures hidden in the hills and valleys. We suggest taking a jaunt down Westside road as it winds through scenery reminiscent of Tuscany.
