Snapshot of Winter at AutoCamp

Winter is one of our favorite seasons at AutoCamp, it’s the perfect season for a romantic getaway or solo weekend in nature– fewer crowds, fresh snowfall, crisp morning air, and cozy campfires make winter one of our favorite times of year to visit AutoCamp.

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite wintertime activities and offerings across all AutoCamp locations to make for the perfect winter weekend getaway: wake up with warming yoga in the Clubhouse, spend your day adventuring in the snow, and end the evening cozying up by the campfire under the stars.

Accs Cabin

Stay in a Cozy Cabin

Our Cabins at AutoCamp Yosemite and AutoCamp Catskills are a special experience during the winter months. Cozy and spacious, they are perfect for a family or friends getaway or just a little more room for the two of you. All of our Cabins and Airstreams are winterized, meaning you’ll always have a warm and toasty suite to come home to after a day of adventuring in the snow.

Accc Clubhouse

Wake up with Yoga in the Clubhouse

We offer complimentary yoga at every AutoCamp location, so you can warm-up and start your day off right with energizing yoga and meditation in the Clubhouse before hitting the trail.

Stargaze and Cozy up by the Campfire

Round out your perfect wintery day with a meal over the fire. Grab a grill kit from the Kitchen and General Store (and don’t forget a s’mores kit!) and spend the evening cooking over the fire and looking up at the winter night sky.

Be sure to bring along your binoculars, because winter is the best season for stargazing. Long nights and cold air hold less moisture, which makes for incredibly clear night skies. With the sun setting early, it’s also an activity the whole family can enjoy together. If you’re feeling adventurous, head into Joshua Tree or Yosemite National Park for some prime sky-viewing locations. The parks are much less crowded during the winter months, which makes planning a stargazing adventure that much easier.
