AutoCamp is for Everyone: A Guide for Couples, Families, and More

Whether you’re flying solo or traveling with the whole family, AutoCamp is the perfect destination for your next getaway. Explore some of our frequently asked questions and recommendations based on your travel crew.

COUPLES

Get away with the one you love. AutoCamp offers the ideal destination for escaping the hustle and bustle and getting back to the great outdoors. Enjoy the power of the great outdoors as you reconnect with your favorite person.

Wine taste in Sonoma County, conquer the granite monoliths of Yosemite National Park, or take a ferry ride to Martha’s Vineyard. Our destinations are ideal for couples of all ages looking to get away and explore the world around them.

But keep in mind, when school is out for the summer, that’s also peak season for families at AutoCamp. You should expect more children on property during your summer visit at any AutoCamp property.

For more ideas as you plan your trip, visit our experiences page (URL to brand level experiences sorted to “Couples”). Our helpful front desk guides can also point you in the right direction or answer any questions you may have while you are on property staying with us.

FAMILIES

Is AutoCamp family friendly?

AutoCamp is the perfect place to experience the outdoors with your family. All ages are welcome, including newborns and great-great-grandparents.

Which property is best for my family?

All of our properties are family friendly, however, by design, AutoCamp Russian River is a smaller, more intimate property. If your children need more space to roam, AutoCamp Yosemite may be a better option for your family. AutoCamp Yosemite and Cape Cod are our larger properties with open spaces perfect for exploration. AutoCamp Cape Cod also has a designated, thoughtfully-designed outdoor children’s play area.

Will an Airstream fit my family?

Our Airstreams are equipped with a queen sized bed and a full sized pull out futon with bedding included. If you believe your child/children will be comfortable on the futon, then booking an Airstream is a great way to go. If you’re looking for a little bit more space, consider booking a Premium BaseCamp or BaseCamp Mini Suite. Our Premium BaseCamp combines an Airstream Suite with a Luxury Tent. Our seasonally-available BaseCamp Mini suites include an Airstream Suite and custom kids’ Tent, which can sleep up to two children. Premium BaseCamps and BaseCamp Minis are only available at certain properties.

Will a pack and play fit in the Airstream?

There is enough room in the galley in the Airstream to fit a pack in play if the futon is not extended. At this time we do not offer pack-n-plays or cribs for guests, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Are there family friendly activities at AutoCamp or in the surrounding area?

For inspiration about what activities to enjoy with your family during your visit, head to our experiences page (URL to brand level experiences sorted to “Families”). Additionally, our helpful front desk guides can point you in the right direction or answer any questions you may have while you are on property staying with us.

DOG OWNERS

What is your dog policy?

AutoCamp welcomes all well-behaved dogs with their owners for an additional fee of $75.00. There is a 2 dog maximum with a 50lb maximum weight each. Please note that not all accommodations are dog friendly. All dogs must stay on least at all times while on property. Dogs cannot be left in your suite unattended.

How do I book a dog friendly suite?

For AutoCamp Russian River, please call us at 888-405-7553 to book a dog-friendly suite. For all other properties, dog friendly suites can be booked directly through our website. At checkout, select “Add Enhancement” under the “Pet Fee” section after you select your accommodation.

Where can I take my pup?

Explore dog friendly hikes around our locations. Some of our favorites include Lower Yosemite Falls Loop in Yosemite National Park, Armstrong Redwood State National Reserve in Guerneville, and Long Pond Trail in Cape Cod.

Some of our favorite dog-friendly eateries include 1850 Restaurant and Brewery in Mariposa, Garden Grill in Guerneville, and Pickle Jar Kitchen in Cape Cod.

Our helpful team at the front desk is there for any questions or concerns while you’re onsite and can also point you in the right direction when it comes to traveling with your furry companion.
