Delicious Ways to Make the Most of Your Cape Cod Trip

Lobster rolls dripping in butter freshly churned ice cream piled onto cones, and juicy ripe peak summer tomatoes are just some of the delicious summer flavors that make a Cape Cod trip so unforgettable. Your Autocamp accommodations come complete with kits for cooking over the fire or your own kitchenette, but when you’re not grilling or flipping your own pancakes, there are tons of delicious local options on our doorstep. We’ve rounded up a list of some of the most delicious eats in and around Falmouth, so you can plan ahead for a trip packed with unforgettable meals.

Anejo Mexican Bistro

Pull up a seat at one of this elevated Mexican spot’s outdoor tables for margaritas and a few of their Cape-inspired takes on familiar dishes. Think taquitos filled with freshly fried local lobster, clams stuffed with chorizo and habanero hot sauce butter, and classics like quesadillas with melty Oaxacan cheese and peppers.

Pie in the Sky

Our go-to spot for breakfast and lunch, Pie in the Sky sells their own freshly roasted coffee by the pound and in espresso drinks. Get there early to snag one of the famous sticky buns or a slice of quiche as they come out of the oven, or swing by at lunch time to stock up hearty BLTs or chicken salad sandwich on a flaky croissant.

The Quarterdeck

It wouldn’t be a Cape Cod trip without a seafood feast. This is where to go for all the classics, from steamed mussels and clams to crispy crab cakes, fried clam bellies, and seared scallops. If someone in your crew isn’t into shellfish, they also have a great burger.

Water Street Kitchen

This quaint and cozy restaurant has relaxed New England vibes, and focuses on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that shift throughout the seasons. One of our favorite spots for a vacation date night, Water Street is the spot for sipping wine and splitting a few orders like spring pea risotto and short rib pot pie.

Osteria La Civetta

Hearty Italian classics with a New England twist. Start with a plate of fresh burrata before moving on to freshly made pastas like seafood carbonara and butternut squash-filled tortelloni.
