Our Favorite Summer Hikes: Zion
Zion National Park in the summer is the greenest and arguably most beautiful time of the year. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite summer time hikes to keep you cool while you’re adventuring.
EXPORE THE KOLOB TERRACE SECTION OF ZION
Kolob Terrace is a stunning lesser-traveled section of Zion, accessible via the Kolob Terrace Road in Virgin, just minutes from AutoCamp Zion. This south west section of Zion is away the crowds and is lush and beautiful. Take a dip at the Kolob Resevoir or stop for various hikes along the road.
Located in the Kolob Canyon section of Zion, this beautiful 5.5 miles round trip hike runs along a stream.
The Narrows have reopened for the season and it doesn’t get much better than trekking through the cool shade of the gorge and taking in the stunning native foliage.
The Pa’Rus trail starts at the visitor center and runs along the Virgin River, its an easy leisure hike perfect for the whole family.
LOWER PINE CREEK FALLS
The Lower Pine Creek Falls Trail is one of those rare hikes in Zion National Park that is not advertised by the park, so you have a better chance of having it all to yourself on a Saturday mid-summer. A quick 1.25 mile trail will lead you to a picturesque pond and 15-foot waterfall.
