Here at AutoCamp, we like to express gratitude for all the beautiful places on our home planet year-round. This Earth Day we’re kicking that appreciation up a notch and highlighting a variety of ways to adventure. For those getting outside and staying at an AutoCamp, we’ve curated a series of programs and experiences to help you further connect with the outdoors and local communities in a meaningful way. All of the following programs are exclusive to AutoCamp guests.

Here are some of the festivities to partake in during your stay:
Russian River
Friday April 22:
- Natural Wine Tasting with Martha Stoumen – enjoy a selection of organic, natural, biodynamic wines from the region and learn about sustainable growing practices (use code CALIFORNIANATURAL for a special discount)
- Beginners Birding Walk along Charming Farm Trail* – book a guided stroll along Sonoma County’s West County Regional Trail, where you’ll learn how to listen to and identify native bird species
Saturday April 23:
- Birds & Brews Happy Hour– learn about local bird calls through an interactive presentation while enjoying locally brewed draft beers
Sunday April 24:
- Forest Bathing with Jenny Harrow-Keeler in the Grove of the Old Trees* – book a guided forest bath under the redwoods in one of the most beautiful areas of the Sonoma coast

Friday April 22 :
- Pop-up Happy Hour with Sierra Cider & Fireside Chat with Moose Mutlow of NatureBridge – taste sustainably produced local cider while listening to stories from Moose Mutlow, a local storyteller, naturalist, and rescue-team member
Saturday April 23:
- Earth Day Forest Bathing & Meditation at AutoCamp with Susan Madden* – enjoy an introduction to forest bathing and a guided outdoor meditation on the AutoCamp grounds
- Morning Foraging Walk with Jennifer Zimmerman at AutoCamp*– learn about local flora and their culinary, medicinal, benefits as well as ancestral significance
- Wild Tea Crafting in the Woods with Jennifer Zimmerman*– book a experience learning how to make wild teas from foraged ingredients sourced in the Sierras, paired with a foraging walk
Cape Cod
Friday April 22 & Saturday April 23:
- Earth Day Birding & Naturalist Walks with Mike Tucker of 300 Committee* – enjoy multiple opportunities for an immersive naturalist tour of the surrounding area, including tours of marshes, ponds, estuaries, and woodlands where plenty of interesting species can be found
Saturday April 23 & Sunday April 24:
- Foraging Walks and Tea with Nicole Cormier* – join in on educational and inspirational foraging walks, learning about the various health and ecosystem benefits of local plants. Enjoy foraged tea brewed with locally sourced ingredients and talk about planet and gut health.
Joshua Tree
Wednesday, April 20:
- Natural & Biodynamic Wine Tasting with Joshua Tree Bottle Shop – sip sustainably sourced, dry-farmed, natural and biodynamic wines from our friends at the JT Bottle Shop. Enjoy live music as an accompaniment.
Friday April 22:
- Happy Hour & Fireside Chat with Mojave Desert Land Trust – learn about special and fragile desert ecosystems, impacts of climate change, and what you can do while enjoying a menu of tasty beverages
Saturday April 23:
- Desert Ecology Fireside Chat & Walks with Every Leaf Speaks Botanical Studies – learn about some of the desert’s incredible diversity with a local desert ecologist
Wednesday April 20 & Friday April 22:
- Book a Guided Hike in the National Park with Ethan Peck* – explore some little known hidden spots within the park and learn about the flora, fauna, and native history of the park and surrounding areas
Wednesday April 20 & Saturday April 23:
- Book a Half Day Climbing Adventure with Mojave Guides in Joshua Tree National Park– immerse yourself in the desert landscape and stretch your boundaries with a guided rock climbing adventures

- Yes, experiences are exclusive to AutoCamp guests who are staying on property.
Is this free to guests? Do I need to sign up for the activities?
- Many activities are included in the AutoCamp amenity fee; however, some workshops require advanced reservation and/or an extra cost.
